I LOVE this painting - it is from an inspirational photo I saw on a website. I loved the colour of the door, half open inviting you in; the flowers and colours. I made it my own by changing the doorway surroundings and flowers. I have found I love painting doorways and gateways.
My first door I ever painted was when I was about 8years old putting undercoat on my Granny's back door, I was terribly disappointed when the top coat had to go on over my hard work. My late Dad used to custom make gates in wrought iron until a pacemaker put a stop to all that. Now I will pay homage to them both every time I paint either one.
