The Louth Plein Air Art Festival is now in its 4th year!
If you are used to painting nature and landscapes from photos in your art place at home -
this is THE best thing you can ever do for yourself - painting nature in the outdoors with other like minded artists and creatives of all levels of experience.
I am an artist and one of my goals when setting up this event was to help me to connect with other artists in around my local area. In the first year over 30 artists arrived to paint out in Beaulieu House, Drogheda. Following on from this day was the excitement of improving the event and turning it into an annual occurrence.
Each year, attendee numbers have slowly grown and the event is now a 2-day weekend, for the past 2 years.
This allows me to source 2 different locations and promote the North and South of Co. Louth itself as there are beautiful places and landmarks to visit - sometimes artists get to go there for the first time ever on the day.
In 2021, the Festival was held in Beaulieu House and Gardens, Drogheda
In 2022, the event was held in Carlingford and Beaulieu House, Drogheda
In 2023, the event was held in Carlingford and Clogherhead Harbour
